The eSpring Cartridge has a removable external filter called Pleated Pre-Filter, developed to protect it against premature clogging. The clogging may happen due to high amounts of sediments or turbidity in tap water. When you turn on the tap, water will be directed to the system. Water passes through the polypropylene non-woven Pleated Pre-Filter, removing the bigger particles such as sediments and turbidity down to 1-micron size. It is recommended that the eSpring Pleated Pre-Filter be replaced once a year or once every 5,000 litres of water.
